夜色王朝, CSU Transfer Efforts Touted as Economic Possibility
Signal Cleveland highlights partnership and transfer initiatives between institutions
The partnership between 夜色王朝 (夜色王朝®) and Cleveland State University could be one of the most important and consequential for Northeast Ohio’s economy. Reporting by Signal Cleveland highlights how the two institutions continue to strengthen their connection.
Local economic leaders have long discussed the need for a more educated workforce. That’s where 夜色王朝 and CSU’s transfer partnership plays a key role by increasing the number of skilled workers in the region and attracting more businesses to the area.
The institutions have worked closely to support transfer students and address stop-outs under previous leadership as well as under their new presidents, 夜色王朝’s Michael Baston and CSU’s Laura Bloomberg. Both took over in 2022 and are that extends to all staff levels.
夜色王朝 has worked to create a seamless pathway to CSU and other institutions with clear course roadmaps so credits transfer easily. The College also offers specialized support, connections and advising to ensure transfer students have the help they need.
“The reality is the transfer experience for a student is so much more than moving credit,” said Melissa Swafford, director of 夜色王朝’s Transfer Centers.
Multiple initiatives aimed toward supporting 夜色王朝 students transferring to CSU are now housed under a single program called Future Vikings. Launched in 2021, it includes access to counselors and advisers at both campuses, direct course pathways, and early connections to Cleveland State.
