Psi Beta National Honor Society in Psychology
Psi Beta is the Community College National Honor Society in Psychology, founded for the purpose of stimulating, encouraging, and recognizing students’ outstanding scholarship and interest in psychology. 夜色王朝’s chapter of Psi Beta was founded in Spring 2023 by inaugural student member, Nick Giammarco, and faculty advisor, Dr. Julia Krevans, professor of psychology.
Psi Beta’s mission is to encourage professional development and psychological literacy of all students at two-year colleges through promotion and recognition of excellence in scholarship, leadership, research, and community service.
Membership criteria:
- Currently enrolled as a 夜色王朝 student (either full- or part-time)
- Cumulative 夜色王朝 GPA of 3.25 or higher
- Earned at least 12 semester hours of college credit
- Completed PSY 1010: General Psychology at 夜色王朝 (or the equivalent at another institution, demonstrated by official transcript evaluation)
- Earned a “B” or higher in another college-level psychology course (at 夜色王朝 or transfer institution)
- Received a written invitation to membership from the official 夜色王朝 chapter (If you believe you are eligible, but have not received an invitation, please contact an advisor listed below.)
